Freddy -The spirit with an illusion to create a notion that lasts forever

This story is about uncle Golf, who stayed in Lansdowne. A slope station in the north Indian province of Uttarakhand. It came into existence because of a military brigade under the British Raj. To my astonishment, it is his epithet given by his late mother Maybelline when he was a kid. He used to play golf just like a cat chasing the rat. His actual name is Major Freddy Large, a brave squad. He is now retired as he met with a mishap two years ago and can no longer serve his country. It is a short misfortune nickname Golf and family name Large. In his childhood days, he used to fight with his father for the surname Large. Mr Large would tell him when he visits heaven asked his father. If his father too has a similar issue then you and grandfather both go and meet your great grandfather. Really it's possible though uncle Golf. He was compact and large with a legitimate trim moustache and facial hair, wearing green shades pants in particular. At present, he is staying with his wife and servants in the forgetful zone. Soon you will understand why I utilized the word forgetful. Uncle Golf from the last 25 years is happily married to an excellent and wry woman named Maize, nothing to perplex. They have two children named Denim twenty-three years old works in Delhi. He is serious and lacks a sense of humour which is swarming in his family. Their daughter is twenty-one years old, named Melody who wants to be a vocalist but there is no melody in her voice. A disoriented family, renowned in society for unusual names.

Mrs Maize Large is a rumour monger by nature, nothing misses her curious eyes. She has a best friend with binoculars hanging around her neck. She has given a name to binoculars Pince-Nez. She considers it as a living entity. Uncle Golf has acquired a great deal of fortune from his ancestor, much like his surname Large. He now spends a lot of his time gardening, planting trees and bushes. He puts a nameplate on each one of them. He put sticky notes on his cabinet. He always scribbles notes in a small journal he carries all over the place. The children stay far away from home for their studies and career and visit home during holidays. Mr Large lived in a beautiful whitewashed mansion with a garden in the front and a small courtyard at the back. It is an ancestral property with many rooms and hallways. Mr and Mrs Large with their respective pets and few servants lived in it. The cat's name is Strawberry as the lady of the house is fond of it. Uncle Golf gave his dog an unfamiliar and strange name Jam as he likes it a lot. Both are poles apart but still married for so long. Every morning he gets up early and goes to Kotnala Bakery, located at Lansdowne market street. It's a small shop that makes delicious bread and smells fabulous. People in the area have quit ridiculing his family name yet bother him by calling Golf across the street after his mishap.

Two years ago, Uncle Golf was attempting to hang his favorite painting done by him when he was six years of age. He climbed up a ladder. Holding a hammer in one hand and a nail on the other. The two servants who assisted him were the incredible cook Tetley and driver Bentley. Twins brother with rhyming names kept by the mother, Smellie. They both screeched out left then right repeatedly. Uncle Golf gets confused and tumbles followed by a hammer causing a head bang! Like a poem, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall. It took one year for him to walk and one more year to overcome the shock. It is ten o'clock breakfast and everyone in the mansion is busy doing their work. Today is Monday, the same date in an alternate year. It makes Uncle Golf feel insignificant and dejected. Maize needed to attend Mrs Nutter's kitty party. She had a parcel arriving today that had beautiful and advanced binoculars. She couldn't decide whether she should wait or attend the party. She would not like to miss the gathering as she is a tattle sovereign. Finally, she goes to her husband, hands him a piece of paper with a note inscribed with courier details. She also gives him a couple of heads up and leaves hurriedly. Uncle Golf put it on the table near the window. The weather turns violent and notes blow away with the wind. Uncle Golf sighs at this sight while remembering his good old days as a squad. Somebody rings the chime, he goes out bustling. It's the courier guy carrying Mrs Large parcel. Uncle Golf wouldn't take it. According to him, the guy has come to an incorrect house to deliver. His name is Golf the courier is in the name of Mrs Large. He argued with the delivery lad for fifteen minutes stating his surname is Golf. How can his wife's surname be Large? A little confusion arose as Mrs Large was so engrossed amidst her party and could not answer the call. The man left along with the parcel.

Maize returns home after enjoying the party. While checking her mobile phone she apprehends that the courier got cancelled because of the incorrect address provided. A comment from the delivery man stated that the house owner got furious at him and bequeathed his dog after him. She loses her calm bangs into Uncle Golf's room and discovers him sleeping after taking his medication. Seeing his medicines on the table next to the bed her temper calms down. She soon realizes that he cannot remember anything because of dementia. She opens his little diary kept at the table while she is reading tears came rolling down her eyes. How will he recall that she gave him a note stating package delivery? In the previous two years, Mrs Large has begun to become friends with her binoculars. She required somebody to cause her to feel exhilarated as her husband doesn't recall a thing. A mother can't ruin her children's future by making them stay here. While leaving the room she notices that dumb artwork of a pony eating carrot drawn by her husband when he was six years old makes her feel sadder. What an incongruity? Life is rarely reasonable.
